Amphibians

Amphibians are intriguing creatures that live both in water and on land during different stages of their lives. They are cold-blooded, which means their body temperature changes with their surroundings. When you think of amphibians, you might picture frogs leaping from lily pads or toads croaking on a rainy night. But there's more to them! Apart from frogs and toads, the amphibian family also includes salamanders, which look a bit like lizards, and caecilians, which are worm-like and live mostly underground. Amphibians have smooth, moist skin, and many of them start their lives as water-dwelling creatures with gills, like tadpoles, before growing legs and lungs to venture onto land. They are nature's bridge between aquatic and terrestrial worlds, showcasing the magic of transformation and adaptation.
