Insects are small creatures that often have six legs and can be found almost everywhere you look. They might be as tiny as a speck of dust or as large as your thumb. Many insects have wings, so you’ll see them flying around, like butterflies and bees. Others, like ants and beetles, scuttle on the ground. Insects play big roles in nature, from helping flowers grow by spreading pollen to being a tasty snack for birds and frogs.
